A Colorado Wedding

My baby sister (well, she’s not a baby anymore!) got married to a really (really, really, really!) great guy in October at the Longmeadow Event Center in Wiggins, CO. I was her matron of honor and Dan was their unofficial videographer. We flew out to Colorado to attend their rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception, and the day-after luncheon. It was a joyful weekend full of wedding festivities! And, due to my sister’s impeccable planning and attention to every detail, the entire weekend went off without a hitch (well, they got hitched, but there were no hitches while they got hitched!). The wedding and reception were absolutely beautiful and my sister carefully designed every detail so that it truly was all perfect. I was very impressed (but not surprised)!

On Friday night, we attended the rehearsal and BBQ dinner.

And on Saturday, after much preparation (hair, makeup, dresses!), we celebrated the union of Mr. & Mrs. Sirios. I managed to keep it together during the wedding (although I fought hard to suppress those tears!) and only choked up a little bit during my matron of honor speech. I just love my sister so much and am so happy for her and Tim!

On Sunday, after the wedding, we gathered for a delicious taco lunch at Anna and Tim’s house and watched them open gifts. It was so nice to spend a weekend with immediate family, extended family, and new family. Vivian loved playing with Tim’s nieces, who are like cousins to her, and we loved having so many other people around to help with Vivian and love on her.

Congratulations Anna and Tim! We are so excited for you – and for your future!
