Getty Villa Malibu

We hosted our first house guests since we got married – my husband’s parents – this past weekend. I always enjoy creating sightseeing adventures tailored specifically to guests when they come to visit, especially since we live in an area where there is a wide variety of tourist activities. The three out-and-about activities that I planned for us were a walk on the San Clemente Coastal Trail with lunch near the San Clemente Pier, a tour of the Getty Villa in Malibu with lunch at their cafe, and dinner at Sir Winston’s Aboard The Queen Mary in Long Beach.

I didn’t take very many pictures throughout the weekend, but my inlaws did take these great pics of my husband and me at the Getty Villa. Aren’t the gardens beautiful?!

We are honored to have been your first house guests; we did not know we were making history. You did such a fantastic job though that you will have a hard time topping it for your next guests! Thanks for the GREAT food, well chosen suggestions for activities, and for your overall welcoming hospitality. And thanks for managing to have those 49ers win in such an edge of your seat football game.
